General Information
1. Hallasan Mountain


Hallasan, standing at 1,950 meters above sea level, is the highest mountain in South Korea and an essential destination when visiting Jeju. The mysterious Baengnokdam Crater and the unique beauty of Hallasan, which changes with each season, will leave you with unforgettable memories. The hiking trails on Hallasan include the Gwaneumsa and Seongpanak courses, which lead to the summit at Baengnokdam, as well as the Yeongsil, Eorimok, and Donnaeko courses, which lead to Witseoreum and the Southern Wall Junction.

Tip) You must make a reservation in advance for the Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa courses, which lead to the summit at Baengnokdam.

2. Seongsan Ilchulbong


Seongsan Ilchulbong is one of Jeju’s most iconic natural landmarks. As a volcano that erupted from the sea, it is a very rare case compared to other craters on the island. From the summit, you can see a crater with a diameter of 600 meters. Here, you can take a walk while enjoying the breathtaking views of Udo Island and the beautiful sea.

3. Seopjikoji


‘Koji’ in Seopjikoji is a Jeju dialect word for a cape, referring to land that juts out into the sea. Seopjikoji is a breathtaking 2-kilometer coastal stretch located in Sinyang-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si. If you climb the lighthouse on the hill at the end of Seopjikoji, you can enjoy stunning views of the blue sea and rugged coastal cliffs with Seongsan Ilchulbong as a backdrop.

4. Udo Island


It’s a small island located on the eastern side of Jeju, shaped like a cow lying down. With its low rooftops, stone walls, and beautiful blue sea, it’s a picturesque place that attracts around 3 million tourists annually, making it one of Jeju’s most famous subsidiary islands. You can reach it by ferry from Seongsan Port or Jongdal Port, which takes about 15 minutes. While it takes 3 to 4 hours to walk around the island, you can also comfortably explore it by taking a circular bus, scooter, or bicycle.

5. Snoopy Garden


Snoopy Garden is made up of a Garden House, where you can meet the delightful Peanuts characters and an Outdoor Garden, which recreates scenes from the Peanuts comic strip in Jeju’s verdant nature.

The Garden House has five themed halls: Relationship, Daily Life, Relaxation, Happiness, and Dream. You can immerse yourself here in the world of Snoopy through various exhibits, including the cartoon strips and videos. There is also a cafe where you can enjoy an American brunch and a gift shop with items featuring Peanuts characters.

In the Outdoor Garden, there are 11 zones featuring classic Peanuts scenes, like Charlie Brown’s baseball field, Linus’ blanket forest, and the Pumpkin King’s pumpkin patch. The garden is well harmonized with the nature of Jeju, and you can enjoy a walk while taking pictures with your beloved characters which appear here and there on your stroll.

6. Arte Museum


Arte Museum is Jeju’s newest (and largest) immersive media art destination. The building, which used to be a factory that manufactured speakers, was remodeled to create a media art world using the latest technology. The 4,600m2 structure houses 10 colorful digitally projected light and sound exhibitions, including a 10-meter-high projection wall. The exhibitions have the following themes: waterfalls, gardens, flowers, waves, the beach, the moon, the jungle, a wormhole, a night safari, stars and magnificent animated European art and Jeju images, all set to a variety of musical genres.

7. Eco Land Theme Park


Eco Land Theme Park is a place where you can enjoy approx. 991,735m2 of Gotjawal virgin forest in the Lincoln Locomotive handmade in England using Baldwin as the model, which is the steam locomotive of the 1800’s. The Gotjawal Forest in Gyorae, where Eco Land is located, not only contains large amounts of underground water, but has high heat conservation and moisturizing effect, so it is a forest of mystery where the nature from both northern and southern limit line co-exist. You can enjoy the greatness of nature, which has covered the rocks of volcano, and covers up even the sky to make it to be the haven of animals and plants.

8. 9.81 Park


The world’s 1st smart racing theme park, ‘9.81 Park,’ offers a futuristic indoor space, various activities, and exciting racing experiences allowing visitors to fully experience Jeju’s natural beauty. Through 3 types of GR (Gravity Racer) developed with 9.81 Park proprietary technology, you can enjoy racing solely powered by gravity acceleration(9.81m/s²) on 4 different types of tracks and 10 courses, while also savoring the beauty of Jeju’s nature. ‘Downhill Racing’ offers breathtaking views of the blue sea of Biyangdo Island, while ‘Uphill Racing’ takes you through an automatic return track after the race, providing an experience of the beautiful Hallasan Mountain view.

9. Seongeup Folk Village


The entire village, which preserves the living site of the people of old Jeju, has been designated as an Important Folklore Cultural Heritage. Though it can be considered a folk village of sorts, it differs from regular folk villages in that people still live in it to this day. The village residents act as volunteer guides to offer visitors all sorts of information. The Saw-leaf Zelkova and Japanese hackberry in the center of the village are worth taking time to see.

10. Aqua Planet Jeju


Aqua Planet Jeju is the largest aquarium in all of Asia, with a total floor area of 25,600m² and tanks holding 10,800 tons of sea water. As a single aquarium, Aqua Planet Jeju is indeed the largest in the world. With approximately 48,000 animals and plants of around 500 species are available for viewing, Aqua Planet Jeju, an “amusement theme park” offering one of the world’s top 10 educational, cultural, and entertainment content, operates a marine science experience hall and a large-scale aquatic performance center together with a supersized tank that recreates the coastal waters of Jeju Island.
